The school has a key role in reducing the incidence of school bullying, and thus reducing the spread of bullying in society. This role lies in the following:
- The school administration follows a set of effective controls and methods to maintain school discipline among students, as well as reduce violence in the school environment.
- Follow all kinds of awareness-raising means in order to achieve the greatest possible degree of school discipline, such as establishing clubs based on respect for opinions despite their differences and acceptance of others of different nationalities. In addition to distributing periodicals to students, aiming to reduce the practice of bullying due to its negative consequences for both the bully and the victim of bullying.
- Allocating a school radio on a regular basis about school bullying in general, and about the methods that are used to discipline the bully.
- Working on developing students’ abilities to deal with the problems they face in general and school bullying in particular.
- Spreading awareness among students about the importance of contributing to the resolution of differences between them, and not inciting each other to practice any form of bullying within the school.
- Follow up with the school's guidance and counseling authority on a regular basis on school bullying statistics.
Finally, it is imperative for every school to work as hard as possible in order to curb the spread of school bullying. The school bears a great responsibility in confronting bullying students, and this is done by adopting effective means and methods in spreading awareness to students about school bullying and its consequences and effects on both the bully and the victim of bullying.
