There are many directions that every parent must teach their children about how to act when each of them is exposed to any of the bullying incidents. There is no doubt that this is very important in order to know how to deal with bullying problems in the beginning and solve them quickly. Therefore, this article addresses the answer to the following question:
How should a student act when being bullied?
This is done through the following:
- Staying away from bullying students and not responding to their provocation.
- Immediately inform the school administration and the social counselor when exposed to any form of school bullying from other students, whether inside or outside the school.
- Not getting emotional or trying to hit the bully or practicing any form of violence against the bully. That is, all the student has to do is self-control and communicate directly with the school social worker in order to track the problem and solve it quickly and effectively.
- Using the name of the bully during the occurrence of bullying so that everyone who witnessed the bullying incident knows it and thus reports it.
- The necessity of informing the student and his/her guardian about every problem he encounters, whether inside or outside the school in order to follow up the problem with the school’s social counselor so that it can be resolved in a way that does not affect the child’s mental health.
- Standing at a distance from the bully because the bully is skilled at hurting others physically. Therefore, the student must ensure that there is a distance between him and the bully that does not make the bully reach him/her.
- The student must show the confidence in front of the bullies, because every bully thinks that the victims are people who do not have enough confidence in themselves. There is no doubt that this belief makes every bully continue to practice violence against others. Every student who is bullied must prove otherwise to the bullies.
Finally, every parent must educate the son or daughter about how to act when subjected to any form of bullying, and not allow any behavior of others to question their strength and self-confidence.
