There are many reasons that make students to bully each other, some of which are related to the personality of the bully himself, some of them have to do with the environment in which the bully was raised, some are related to the school environment and others. It can be summarized as follows:
- Aggressiveness: There are many children who believe that aggressive behavior such as hitting is a proof of strength among children.
- Being bullied: It is not unusual for a child who is bullied in any form of bullying at home to bully his/her classmates in or outside the school.
- Family problems: the child may bully others outside the home as a kind of expression of the psychological pressure he is exposed to at home or as a result of family problems or harsh conditions experienced by the child's family.
- Lack of confidence: the bullying child also suffers from a lack of confidence, especially since this matter is very dangerous because it affects the psychological health of the child, and thus acts in a way that pushes him to compensate for this deficiency by assaulting and insulting others.
- Peer influence: This is represented by the influence of children on others in school and encouraging each other to practice offensive behaviors to others, as well as imitating each other in harming other children, whether inside or outside the school.
In conclusion, the school and parents must follow the children and their behavior and monitor them in order to track the psychological state of the children and know its causes. This is because the first reason for the deterioration of the child’s psychological state is his/her exposure to bullying, whether inside or outside the school. Moreover, it is important for both the school and the family to provide a stable environment for the child's upbringing and education so that it reflects on his/her treatment of other children through the practice of kind behaviors with each other.
